FAQs_x000D_
How is the speed determined?_x000D_
3 phase induction motors feature two main components that can influence the speed of the motor, these include a rotor and a stator. Once a current is applied across the stator, a rotating magnetic field is created inducing a current in the rotor. As a result, the rotor also creates a magnetic field and begins to follow the stator. In addition, the number of poles in the windings of a motor can greatly determine the motors speed. If a motor has a higher number of poles it will tend to have a slower rated speed but a higher rated torque._x000D_
